How does WalkBlock work?+
WalkBlock uses Android activity signals and app-usage access to cover selected distracting apps while configured movement protection is active.
Does WalkBlock use GPS tracking?+
No. The current Android app does not request location permission and does not provide a continuous family location map.
Can calls and maps stay available?+
Yes. Parents can allow calls, maps, transport, payment and other essential apps according to the family’s needs.
Can a child change the settings?+
Important configuration can be protected with a parent PIN. Android system settings and device security still matter, so parents should complete and test the recommended setup.
What happens in a car or bus?+
Movement classification can vary by device and situation. Families should test transport use, adjust available settings and keep essential travel apps allowed.
Does WalkBlock replace supervision?+
No. WalkBlock is an additional safety aid and cannot guarantee attention to traffic or replace adult guidance.
